James Flynn (EE ’77), Chatsworth, Calif., together with his wife, Sharlene Katz, led a team of 70 students to design, build, and fly a satellite to test a new low-temperature energy storage system for the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The satellite, CSUNSat1, successfully completed its mission.
