Designer Stephen Burks (DSGN ’92) [left] and IIT Trustee Dirk Lohan, the grandson of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, shared a moment in the Burks “show room” at the Mies van der Rohe Society’s annual Mies Birthday Party event in S. R. Crown Hall. Four of the five featured designers were IIT alumni.
