The university welcomed its largest class of first-year students in recent history when the fall 2022 semester began in August. Here’s a little more about the newest class of Scarlet Hawks:

• 654 first-time students
• Students hail from 32 countries and 36 states (and Washington, D.C.)
• Nearly 40 percent are the first in their family to attend college
• 35 percent are women
• 34 percent are from underrepresented groups
